Download the Course Scheduling Guide and your relative request form. Submit your completed scheduling request form by Monday, April 13th, 2020 at 11:59pm. When you save the file, be sure to put your name in the title before you email it back to us. Email your scheduling request form to lisa.weedman@carroll.kyschools.us

If you need paper copies, Course Scheduling Guides and grade-level request forms will be available on the table outside of the school's front doors beginning March 31st from 9:00am - 2:00pm each day. You may also drop off your completed scheduling request form in the assignment bin outside on that table.

Sizemore named director of special education Sizemore named director of special education

Carrollton, Ky. - May 22, 2020 - Superintendent Danny Osborne has selected Wayne Sizemore as the new director of special education for the Carroll County School District. Sizemore has served as DOSE for the Breathitt County School District since 2005.

 

“Mr. Sizemore comes to us with a wealth of experience,” Osborne said. “The director of special education position is extremely important, and we are thrilled to have someone like Mr. Sizemore step into the role.”

 

Sizemore currently serves as DOSE of the Breathitt County School District, where he supervises the school district’s special education program. During his time there, he assisted in the district’s turnaround status from a Kentucky Department of Education State Managed District to a State Assisted District. Sizemore began his career as a speech-language pathologist in the Leslie County School District in 1999. 

May 26 food distribution — Summer schedule begins June 1

Carrollton, Ky. - May 22, 2020 - Food will not be distributed in the Carroll County School District on Memorial Day, May 25. Tuesday, May 26, is the final day of food distribution before the summer schedule begins on June 1. During the summer, food will be distributed from Carroll County High School only.

 

On May 26, students will receive four days of food from either Carroll County Middle School or Carroll County High School. Meal pickup times are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

Starting June 1, food will be distributed from Carroll County High School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Food will only be distributed from the CCHS location during the summer.

Rohrer moves to central office

Carrollton, Ky. - May 22, 2020 - Jeannie Rohrer is the newest face at the Carroll County School District central office. Starting July 1, Rohrer will serve as the district’s supervisor of instruction. She is taking over from Jonica Ray, who is the district’s new assistant superintendent. Rohrer has been principal of Cartmell Elementary since 2017.

 

“This is another great hire for our district,” said Superintendent Danny Osborne. “Ms. Rohrer has proven herself to be an exceptional administrator. It’s been great to see her work at Cartmell, and I am excited to see her step up to this new role. We are blessed in this school district to have so much talent to draw on, and Ms. Rohrer is a tremendous asset to staff and students.”

Ray promoted to assistant superintendent Ray promoted to assistant superintendent

 

Carrollton, Ky. - May 01, 2020 - Superintendent Danny Osborne has selected Jonica Ray as the new assistant superintendent of the Carroll County School District. 

 

“It is my pleasure to work with Ms. Ray in this next step of her career,” Osborne said. “In my two years in the district, I have been amazed by Ms. Ray’s work ethic as well as by her passion for making a difference for kids. We are fortunate to have Ms. Ray in our community as well as in leadership in our school district. I am confident that great things are ahead for all of us.”

 

Ray has served the school district for twenty-three years: eleven as a teacher, four as an instructional coach, two as an assistant principal, three as a principal and three as elementary instructional supervisor.
 

Willhoite named KYASRO Administrator of the Year

Carrollton, Ky. - April 27, 2020 - The Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers has named Mark Willhoite as the 2019-2020 Administrator of the Year. Carroll County School District Superintendent Danny Osborne nominated Willhoite, who was chosen for the distinction by KYASRO school resource officers. 

 

The KYASRO Administrator of the Year award recognizes an “administrator or educator who has had a positive impact on their school community and has demonstrated support for a safe and secure learning environment.”
